Parks Department
Town Parks
The aesthetical and functional properties which a park possesses makes them excellent
places to relax as well as take part in recreational activities. The Town of Halfmoon
recognizes the importance of parks and is pleased for being able to provide these types
of areas for its residents.
Trails Advisory Committee
The Trails Advisory Committee regularly meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
in the Town Hall. Please direct any inquiries to Henrietta O'Grady, by calling 371-8374 or

Abele Memorial Park
This park was donated to the Town of Halfmoon
in memory of Jack Abele by the Abele Family and
friends. It is located on Harris Road, directly across
from the Town Hall Complex. Park features include
a gazebo, a 9/11 memorial, concrete walkways, and
benches. |  |
Crescent Park
Located along Canal Road with a trail
entrance on Terminal Road, Crescent Park offers
users a scenic waterfront environment . The park
is part of the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway, which
recently became one of America’s Byways. Park
features include grilling areas, picnic tables, recreation
trail, benches, and parking areas. |  |
